if svn complains about an untrusted certificate, you can add it manually.

first download it

  • echo -n | openssl s_client -connect [SERVER]:443 | sed -ne '/-BEGIN CERTIFICATE-/,/-END CERTIFICATE-/p' > SERVER.crt

then, add it (apt-get install ca-certificates)

  • cp SERVER.crt /usr/share/ca-certificates/
  • dpkg-reconfigure ca-certificates
  • select the new certificate
